Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

May everyone have a happy holiday season!  We are getting back on our feet after Susan spending September in the hospital with an infection.  She is just now able to drive and at least a month before she can go back to work.  Cheryl is recovering from surgery and will be starting Chemo within the month.

The weather at Harrison was great the whole week.  We wish to thank our host chapter Members at Large, Chapter 52 and Gateway Ramblers, Chapter 63 for all their hard work along with all those good people who volunteer.  We also want to thank Camping World RV Houghton Lake for the Road Runner stew.  Tuesday night was all kinds of fun with our first karaoke night. We will continue 3 BINGO games at the Samborees.

We’ll be celebrating 40 years of Michigan Good Sam the whole year so you chapters that have not been attending Samborees it time to put your petites problems aside, come and enjoy.  It all starts with the Summer Samboree at Escanaba June 24-27, 2010. Our U.P. Chapters will be your host chapters for “Old West Legends and Heroes”.  Asst. Director Charlie & Liz Waters have been hard at work doing all the prep work.  Chapter 23 was drawn for the Jail so bring extra change with you!  For the Fall Samboree we’ll be at Otisville at the Covenant Hills Camp with over 300 full hook-up sites, September 16-19, 2010.  Chapters 15, 91 and 96 will be the host for “Monster Mash Reunion Ball”.  Tuesday night will start with “Karaoke Night” and early bird BINGO on Wednesday night.  Thursday night we will be having entertainment.  Both Samborees are now 4 day events for $75, but we will still pro-rate to $60 for those who can not make it in until Friday.  The cut off dates have also been changed so be sure you get your forms mailed in early.

Snowbird luncheons will be for Winter Texans it will be on Tuesday Feb. 09. 2010 at 11:30 AM, at Jagz Entertainment Center, 5419 N Cage Blvd, Pharr, TX. use the Owassa exit off 281.  Florida will be Feb.25, 2010, at 1:00 PM at the Golden Corral 4705 North U.S. 98 in Lakeland, FL,  Please meet in front of the building so we all can go in together.  Please wear a name badge with vest or Good Sam Shirt.
